I had taken a quick look at the map when I arrived in town and noticed there were a couple caches in Portland proper. I awoke early to bag the Ft. Williams cache. That was found quickly and it was still early. I had stopped downtown to get the first stage of a multi that I didn’t have a chance to complete, then looked to see what the nearest waypoint was. This one showed up. I drove to it and then began reading. Wow! I had no idea John Ford was from Portland. It seems kind of odd that such a prominent filmmaker would be from the east coast. I spent a couple minutes at Gorham’s Corner reading through the information there b4 heading off.
