Yesterday Beetle visited the doctor for the first time since the Christmas holiday. Mommy and Daddy were quite interested in Beetle’s current height and weight as well as clearing up what foods Beetle is now permitted to eat.
We were surprised that Beetle has not broken through to twenty pounds yet. Right now she is coming in at 19.75 pounds. She is 27.25″ long. Considering she has outgrown virtually everything, the length baffles us.
Finally, Daddy has permission to feed Beetle meat. Mommy had been steadfast in keeping Beetle a vegetarian until the doctor’s visit. We have clearance to feed Beetle anything but straight milk, eggs (yolks are okay), or honey. We may feed her things made with these ingredients (like mashed potatoes). To celebrate, Daddy made chicken parmesan from scratch. Beetle seemed to like chicken.
Mommy is fascinated with how Beetle crosses her feet. She has been doing this since last summer. Even in the pool on Saturdays, Beetle often has her feet crossed. She just seems so comfortable that she doesn’t need to flail about.
