I spent part of this special day on the trails geocaching. Gert had a restful day. We didn’t do much, which is just as she wanted it. 🙂
The flower to the left was right along one of the trails I hiked today. It was another stunningly beautiful day today.
I spent some time this evening on the telephone with my mother. She seems to lead a busy life for a retiree. She shared with me that she will be taking a guided tour of Denali next month when she visits Alaska. Isn’t that where I should be going?
FWIW, the flower pictured here is an orchid called Pink lady’s slipper or Moccasin flower. Botanical name is Cypripedicum acaule. Thanks to Pine Nut for the identification.
