Gert joined Facebook recently and suggested I do the same. I never understood FB. Once there, I realized this is high school all over again. Being the social don’t that I am, making friends is not something I am comfortable with. Furthermore, I haven’t a clue as to what to do there. I have just set up all my feeds to run through my account there.

Anyhow, I did come across an old friend from college. It’s been a long time since I spoke to him. He tagged me this meme. I thought, Why not? So here goes. Perhaps you’ll find it interesting.  I am not about to tag folks in the blogosphere but feel free to pick this up.

Rules: Once you have been tagged, write a note with 25 random facts about yourself. Afterwards, tag 25 people to share the note with. Make sure you tag me as well because I’m sending it to you so I can learn more about you as well!!

Also, these are in no particular order.

  1. I kept vegan for a few years. The ‘rents didn’t understand pasta on Thanksgiving.
  2. I own a TLC CD and I like it.
  3. When I was in sixth grade, I had a major crush on Kristy McNichol.
  4. I was an art major one semester so I could take a 3-D design course.
  5. I saved someone’s life.
  6. I am impatient and have a short temper. It’s possible I am bi-polar. (I believed my ex-wife’s diagnosis; I am not bipolar.)
  7. If I had to do it all over again, I would be a meteorologist (the scientist, not Hurricane Schwartz) or a cartographer.
  8. Tulips remind me of my hometown and spring. I like tulips.
  9. My wife and I met each other after I insulted her.
  10. I have eaten lion and hippopotamus.
  11. Camden Yards is the best stadium I have found to watch baseball.
  12. Writing lesson plans is among my least favorite things to do.
  13. In second grade I began stuffing french fries into my hamburgers. I still do that.
  14. I have never visited the Statue of Liberty. (Rectified: 30 July 2018)
  15. Whenever I go grocery shopping, I always return the cart to the proper location and never leave it to roll away and dent a vehicle.
  16. I had a handgun application filled out, but never submitted it.
  17. Speaking of not finishing, I have begun and stopped The Hobbit many times. I have never gotten through it. (Finished it.)
  18. I love going to the theatre.
  19. I have never seen E.T.
  20. My earliest memory is getting my wings on a flight when I was three.
  21. I worked but one day each for Wendy’s and Greenpeace.
  22. I like close-up magic. The only time I have seen a live show, the magician successfully got my watch. I was impressed.
  23. I am a Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck fan. I could easily never watch Mickey Mouse.
  24. Bow-leggedness is something I have lived with my entire life. Sigh . . .
  25. One day that stands out for me was strolling Ybor City with my folks, dining at the Columbia, and smoking a handrolled cigar with my father.

Interestingly, I found this to be a difficult challenge.
