22-05-03 Manhattan

Despite seeking a new cocktail for myself, there is something special about a Manhattan. Yum!


  • 2 oz. rye

  • 1 oz. sweet vermouth

  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters

  • Maraschino cherry


  • Build in a mixing glass.
  • Add ice and stir for approximately 30 seconds
  • Strain into a coupe glass.
  • Garnish with a Maraschino cherry

I use Rittenhouse Rye and Carpana Antica sweet vermouth. This vermouth I feel truly adds to the body of the cocktail. Most Manhattans don’t feel as robust without this. I am spoiled and rarely order Manhattans out as they do not hold up to what I make at home.

I garnish with Luxardo Maraschino cherries.
