The New Teen Titans (1980-) #1 by Marv Wolfman

Wow! A comic I can actually understand.

I am going back in time, 42 years, to start anew. This is the assemblage of the New Teen Titans: Robin, Kid Flash, Cyborg, Wonder Girl, Changeling, Raven, and Starfire.

We see Grant Wilson. I gather he will be instrumental in being the foe in H.I.V.E. to the new team. Love the language here. Changeling asks if the new girl, Starfire, is stacked. Proper use of the singular, masculine pronouns. It’s all so . . . understandable.

The newly assembled team rescues Starfire from being captured in space. There’s very much a Star Wars feel to that part of the story. Only Raven seems to have any understanding as to why this team must assemble and what lies ahead for it.
