Was working on the Adventure Lab when I came across this waypoint. Y’ever have the feeling everyone is in on something that you aren’t? That’s how I felt with stage one of this.

Went to the coordinates. It seems like a likely place for something to be there, but I didn’t find anything. Keep thinking this is different than what I was looking for.

Rather than become frustrated, I just moved on.

Thank you for placing this for me to seek; I appreciate it.

Well, I saw the caches along the path were rehabilitated. Thank you. I went and found #3. Yeah! With spirits high, I strolled over here. I spotted a new item mentioned in the clue that I did not see last time. Great excitement filled me. Alas, that was not the geocache.

Then I began the familiar circling that I have done here before. I found a lid to a gelato container. Perhaps that was the cache, but I couldn’t reconcile where it would have been hidden despite the other item mentioned in the clue.

Around and around I went. Finally, I accepted defeat. I am just not in sync with the caches along here. I read Alex’s log that stated the coordinates were soft. I expanded and expanded. #3 was very soft for me too. Perhaps I have not expanded far enough. Perhaps I am just missing it. I must be since this was just replaced.

Don’t know how to remedy my ills with this one. I’ll keep an eye out when others find it. Maybe I’ll get lucky.

Thank you for placing this headscratcher for me; I appreciate it.

Have been looking forward to this trip.

Flew down today from NJ. This was the focal point. Enjoyed my five and a half hour layover in Nashville (not). Got to Charlotte and picked up my rental. Twenty minutes later here I am searching for this geocache.

Coordinates are solid. Expanded the search area. Nada.

Began reading the logs. Wouldn’t you know? Last finder is from my neck of the woods. Sent out a bunch of HELP messages.

Found the hook. Matched that with the log from 26 February. Now have multiple confirmations from yesterday’s finders that is where the geocache was. Apparently, three trackables were in there.

Don’t know what to make of this. Nearly twenty-two years in the field and the day I arrive it is gone. Pretty much explains things for me.

The only blue face of the day for me. Made it over here just fine. Looked and looked. Read the hint. Lokked and looked. Expanded my search just in case the coordinates were loose. Looked and looked. Pondered. Looked and looked.

This is a case, I am sure, of fixating on one interpretation to the detriment of others that would lead to finding the cache. Spent 40-45 minutes not finding this. I eventually moved on. Banged out the next two and then returned as I thought this over. I wanted to ensure that I had checked something more thoroughly. Yeah, no. That wasn’t it. Put another five minues in before I realized I would be making this hike again. No issues as this has been a path that has certainly changed since I first hiked here. I wonder if Parker would remember his trip here.

Nevertheless, I appreciate you placing this for me to seek today; thank you.

Sigh . . . drive two-and-a-half hours to begin my day here. I need this category to complete a challenge. Lovely area. The pole is very nice. Alas, the kinetic structure, Wind Sculpture, is no longer atop the pole. 🙁

I do not know the story behind it. Perhaps it is being refurbished. Perhaps something else will be installed.

All I know is that it was not visible when I sought it.

There were two targets this morning to complete a challenge that I have hanging from my visit to South Dakota last summer. Found the first one and then drove up here to knock this out so I can put that challenge to bed.

Parked and took to the beautiful trail. Just last evening I was speaking with Alex who marveled at how many trails are now here at Stockton. Indeed! Lovely.

As I proceeded, I inhaled that familiar scent of fire. Someone was burning wood this early? Upon arrival, I understood the smell. There has been a controlled burn in the area. It’s recent. I gather since the last log.

One may not know why he doesn’t find a geocache, but I suspect this one is melted somewhere in the area. I poked around a little bit, but didn’t see anything. Lots of cut trees before the burn. The stumps I saw had no geocache there, but then again, maybe I just missed it. Who knows?

It amazes me how laurel often survives these burns. Hardy!

Thank you for placing this for me to seek today; I appreciate it.

My midwest trip has been going fabulously (IL, IA, and now ND and MN). Have never been to the Peace Garden State before and am loving it! After several days in and around Gilby, we re-located to Fargo for the geotour and other adventures. Good times with every footfall.

We headed out today to complete the last few geotour stops and pick up some letterboxes, high favorited points, and challenges. No dice today. Unfortunately, we were not able to rcomplete this one. The panel is clearly missing. Seems odd since it was recently logged.

Thank you for being part of our wonderful day; I appreciate it.
